Welfare Assistant- Special Needs

Teaching Personnel are looking for Welfare Assistants to work in schools in Rotherham that support children with Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children in and around class with personal care and toileting
  • Supporting children with a range of needs (physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties)
  • Help children with movement in and around school
  • Use hoists and mechanically aided equipment to enable student participation and comfort

About you:

  • Experience supporting individuals- those with special needs, those in care, private clients
  • No qualifications needed- just relevant experience
  • Additional training is a bonus, Teaching Personnel run a Moving and Handling course which teaches safe methods of moving others
  • Drivers license and transport is preferred as you may be required to travel between roles

Teaching Personnel will give you all the support you need, through our online CPD Academy, with your own dedicated recruitment consultant and with expert guidance along the way. You will have flexibility to choose work which suits you and find a role which is the best fit.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
