Special Needs Teaching Assistant

This school provides excellent education for children requiring extra support. You will be working closely with small groups of children with moderate learning difficulties, providing a creative learning environment. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant you will ideally have experience working with Autism (ASC) however a Special Needs Teaching Assistant with strong experience working within difficult environments will also be considered.

• A sincere and empathetic individual
• Psychology/Creative/Music/Art/Sports/Educational Degree
• To have knowledge of SEN school environments
• Be able to work with those who have complex needs
• Have passion for the child succeeding both academically and socially
• Youth/Community work experience
• Youth Offending Service experience
• Support/Care Work
• Experience in assisting people with social, emotional and mental health issues (either within a work or a personal environment)
• Team Teach trained

Teaching personnel will be offering a very competitive rate of pay (GBP57-GBP70)
You must be available Full Time between Monday to Friday (08:30 – 15:30).

You will also have the unique opportunity of completing additional training to increase your knowledge and skill set. Training such as Autism Awareness and Team Teach are available through our CPD Academy.
