Special Needs Early Years Teaching Assistant Putney

An 'Outstanding' SEN School in Putney are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants who are experienced or proven interest in supporting autism and moderate learning difficulties.

The roles are for a fixed academic year to give you the opportunity to be trained, familiarised with the pupils, education framework and understand the school ethos/ policy. After the successful completion of the academic year you will then be given opportunities to go on permanent contract.

The role is to support pupils with ASC, PMLD and Complex Needs one-to-one, in small groups and generally. Successful Teaching Assistants will be resilient, hard working and creative. With a range of sought after opportunities, training and career progression within this highly accredited school this is a great place to develop and work as part of a fun and amazing team.

Learning Support Assistant

  • Classes of up to 8 pupils with a teacher and additional support staff
  • Supporting pupils with individual learning plans - Maths, English, Science and Technology, Language and Communication
  • Supporting students with Individual Behaviour plans - devised with multi-agency and in-house specialists
  • Supporting pupils in class, across the school and out of class at break times
  • Full time Monday to Friday term time only - 8.30am -3.30pm (non-negotiable)
