With a strong interest and previous professional experience, personal experience and/or knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN), the successful applicant will be a reliable and motivated individual, who is ready to start work as soon as possible.
Our specialist partner school caters for pupils who display extremely difficult and challenging behaviour, due to Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). Pupils are aged between 5 and 16 years and you will be expected to work in a variety of classes within the specialist school as and when required.
This position would be ideal for experienced and or retired Teaching Assistants, Care Workers, Support Workers, Sports Coaches, Ex-Military, Ex Police Officers, Youth Workers and Ex Prison Officers.
Duties will include:
- Promoting and assisting with the learning and development of the pupil(s) you are assigned to.
- Encouraging pupils’ confidence and independence.
- Managing behaviour.
- Preparing learning resources, as directed by the Teacher.
