Looking for an exciting new opportunity working within an SEN school? Looking for a rewarding role working in a Special Needs school?

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated SEN teacher to join an SEN school in the Northamptonshire region. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and assisting with special educational needs and have the ability facilitate the specific requirements of their students. This is a full time SEN school teaching position starting in as soon as possible. The school is looking for a SEN teacher who is confident in their ability to engage with and inspire pupils to achieve their best. Candidates must be fully qualified and preferably have SEN experience with excellent classroom practices and a love of teaching.

The successful candidate will have…

  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Teaching experience either in a mainstream or SEN school
  • Knowledge of the primary curriculum
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience using PECS & Makaton (preferable but not essential)

The school is a fantastic brand new state of the arts unit located in Northampton which caters for students with a variety of needs. The children are aged 10-16 and they cater for moderate learning difficulties. All classes have at least two teaching assistants present to ensure all students needs are catered for throughout lessons. The school works hard to follow the national curriculum to ensure all the students have a desired outcome and, in most cases, leave with GCSE's and similar opportunities to their peers.

Teaching Personnel are the UK's largest education recruitment agency and our dedicated SEN Branch are working closely with schools in the Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire area.

If you are an experienced SEND teacher or are looking to become one, have a positive attitude, a good sense of humour and are passionate about working with young people then we would love to hear from you. Please contact Harry on 01604 521215 or email
