SEN Teaching Assistant
Manchester

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our client school from September. The successful candidate will work with the schools SEN Team, Alternative Provision, Progress Leaders and Senior Staff to strategically support individual and small groups of students to secure the best possible outcomes for pupils.

  • Full time role (term time only) commencing in September 2019
  • Working hours : 8:45am - 3:15pm
  • £275 - £350 per week

Responsibilities of the role will include identifying key strategies to help modify student behaviour, working one-to-one with students who are underperforming and helping students with a range of issues to overcome any specific barriers. The role will also include delivering the schools academic achievement programme to individuals and small groups as well as preparing suitable support programmes to meet the needs of students of various Special Educational Needs.

We are looking for a knowledgeable Teaching Assistant who has experience of supporting young people in a secondary school setting. They will have experience of working with students with SEN and will be able to establish positive working relationships with students, parents and staff.

Our client school is a culturally diverse 11 - 16 mixed gender secondary school located in the East area of Manchester with just over 600 pupils on roll. The school is just a short drive from the city centre and is easily accessible via public transport links. This is an exciting opportunity to join our client school on its journey to excellence.
