Special Educational Needs Teacher Required for SEN School

We are looking for a Special Educational Needs Teacher for a local mixed abilities SEN school. The school supports pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), physical disabilities (PD) and Autism (ASC).

The school provides education and support for pupils aged 2 -19 years old with a range of additional needs. The school boasts excellent purpose built facilities including a swimming pool and sensory rooms. The classes are small and based on abilities and needs as well as age group. All classes include specialist SEN support alongside teachers. OFSTED is quoted as saying the school has 'involved leaders' a 'positive buzz' and a focus on 'teamwork'.

Key Skills

• Successful class room teaching experience
• Have previous experience working within a SEN environment
• Experience working with pupils with EHCP's and adapting teaching methods
• Up to date knowledge of the national curriculum
• Willingness to engage in internal training
• A passion to engage and motivate pupils in their learning
