Special Educational Needs Secondary Teacher required for SEMH SEN School - Cambridge

We are looking for a SEN SEMH Secondary Teacher for students with social, emotional and mental health needs.

This small specialist school provides education and support for students aged 11 -16. The school has purpose built facilities. Class sizes at the school are small with around 8 pupils, a teacher and members of additional specialist support.

  • SEMH Teacher
  • Planning and Teaching tailored lessons to Secondary students
  • Maintaining awareness of curriculum developments
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings
  • Specialist Teaching Assistants in the class room

Key Skills

  • QTS or extensive teaching experience
  • Successful class room teaching experience
  • Have previous experience working within a SEN environment with challenging behaviour or have always wanted to
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Up to date knowledge of the national curriculum related to Secondary education
  • A passion to engage and motivate pupils in their learning
