Special Education Needs Teaching Assistants Required ASAP

Are you a conscientious, empathetic and experienced Teaching Assistant/Learning Mentor or Youth Worker? Looking for a new challenge in Education?

Do you enjoy working with young people on their emotional literacy and academic development? If so then this role is for you.

You will be working with a variety of age groups and abilities of pupil. The school caters for young people with a variety of SEN including; Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Children with barriers to learning such as ill health across all key stages. An empathetic and adaptable approach is paramount. You will be providing a vital service to our Education Centres in Sevenoaks and Tonbridge.

The role requires experience of working within Alternative Provisions; with a particular focus on PRU's, Secure Units and Residential care homes. Therefore, we are also looking for people who can build excellent relationships with children and young people who are otherwise disengaged from their studies; using these relationships to help re-engage and encourage children in to building a bright future for them.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
