Spanish teacher Manchester

  • Easily accessible from Manchester City centre by bus routes
  • Long term maternity cover at excellently provisioned secondary
  • Teaching Spanish at Key Stage 3 and GCSE

MFL teacher sought at Manchester Secondary for 12 month maternity cover

Following a restructuring decision, a MFL teacher vacancy has emerged at a Manchester school from September for the duration of the 16/17 academic year, with pay scales (MPS/UPS) dependent on the experience of the applicant.

- Teaching Spanish at Key Stage 3 and GCSE

- Delivering innovative schemes of work with supportive department

- Full time post for a minimum of 12 months

- Options to work on long term supply or fixed term contract

A secondary school exceeding the national number of students on roll, the ethos for the school promotes dignity, respect and striving for excellence in all avenues and has paid dividends in recent times, with the percentage of students making expected progress in core subjects increasing year on year. Following a recent inspection by Ofsted, the school were demonstrating elements of good practice, with inspectors indicating: “senior leaders and governors have an accurate understanding of school performance and have a concise and well-structured plan for future success which has been expertly relayed to all staff members.”

Ideal candidates for this position as a Spanish teacher will have a previous track record of raising attainment and encouraging pupil progress working as a Spanish teacher. You will also need Qualified Teacher Status to be considered, experienced Spanish teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply. As the school strives for continued improvements and results, the ability to consistently deliver “Good” and “Outstanding” lessons is a must.
