About the Role

A welcoming primary school in Southport is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS and Primary. You’ll play a vital role in helping children access learning, regulate emotions, and feel safe, supported, and understood within school life.

The school is looking for someone who can bring patience, consistency, and a warm, nurturing approach — especially when working with pupils who present SEMH, autism, ADHD, communication needs, or learning delays.

What We’re Looking For

Behaviour & Support Practice

  • Strong behaviour management
  • Ability to create a calm, safe environment for learners

Supporting Children with SEN

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or similar)
  • Inclusive practice that adapts to individual needs
  • A trauma‑informed, child‑centred approach

Professional Skills

  • Good communication with teachers, staff, and pupils
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to different needs quickly

What We Offer

Dedicated Support

  • A personal consultant who understands your strengths, goals, and preferred working style
  • A friendly, supportive team available whenever you need help or guidance

Regular Work & Opportunities

  • Access to consistent SEN vacancies and daily/long‑term bookings
  • Flexible roles or secure long‑term placements depending on your preferences

Work–Life Balance

  • Flexible working hours
  • Opportunities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 SEN support

Professional Development

  • Extensive CPD training, fully funded — including specialist SEN courses normally behind university or college paywalls
  • Ongoing development to enhance your SEN support, behaviour management, and classroom practice
