Sociology Teacher

Location: Milton Keynes
Start date: September 2024
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Pay: £143-211 (Main Pay Scale for Qualified Teachers), paid as a daily rate through us then salary directly offered with school
We are working closely with a Secondary School situated in a suburb of Milton Keynes who are recruiting for a Social Sciences Teacher from September 2024.
The role would involve teaching predominantly Sociology across GCSE and A Level, whilst supporting with some other social sciences subjects across KS4 and KS5. This is a permanent role for a Social Science specialist - a Qualified Teacher or Graduate with a degree specialising in Sociology with at least 1 year or placement experience teaching or first-hand experience supporting in a school previously.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Ideally, be an experienced Instructor or Qualified Sociology Teacher, and able to deliver to KS4 and KS5
- Special considerations to Sociology specialist with future ambitions to be a Teacher
- Great knowledge of Sociology and the syllabus
- Previous experience supporting or teaching in a Secondary School
- Present a 'can do' and positive attitude to inspire pupils
- Able to motivate and inspire, whilst using your own initiative
- Willingness to learn and support others
- Patient and friendly attitude
