Job description

A secondary school in Plymouth is seeking a temporary teacher of social sciences this September. The successful candidate will be required to work part time at least until Christmas 2020 and teach criminology, sociology and psychology. This school has very high expectations for their students and staff. 

Virtual interviews will be held at the beggining of July 2020.

The successful candidate will:

  • The ability to plan and prepare exciting and varied lessons
  • The ability to be adaptive and flexible with their approaches to teaching; the ability to tailor teaching methods to individual needs
  • Proven teaching experience with a track record of raising engagement levels in class’ across all key stages
  • The aptitude to build positive relationships with students
  • A valid DBS on the update service or be willing apply for a new one and register with the update service
