Our school in South Manchester requires a teaching assistant to teach pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will work close with SEN students identified with SLCN on both a 1:1 basis and with small groups and will contribute towards a purposeful learning environment by supporting classroom teachers in teaching and learning.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of working with SEN SLCN and will have outstanding inter-personal skills. You will need to be patient and sensitive with the ability to encourage and motivate children as well as being able to work effectively in a team. Experience of EBD and phonic schemes will be advantageous.
You may also be required to adapt the National Curriculum to meet the needs of pupils who have ASC and are non attenders of mainstream education and devising Individual Education Plans to reflect their development needs
All candidates will be required to complete a Full Enhanced DBS Disclosure via the Criminal Records Bureau. Teaching Personnel are committed to the Safeguarding and Equality of all candidates.
