Site Caretaker & Technician – Secondary School (Powys Area)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and committed Site Supervisor & Curriculum Technician to join a welcoming secondary school in the Powys area.
This is a unique and rewarding role that combines site leadership, facilities management, and technical curriculum support—placing you right at the heart of school life.
The Role
As Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and maintained to a high standard, while also supporting curriculum areas with technical expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the cleaning and caretaking team
- Maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming school environment
- Managing repairs, maintenance, and overall site presentation
- Supporting health and safety compliance across the site
- Acting as a key holder and responding to occasional out-of-hours issues
- Driving the school minibus when required (training provided)
- Providing technical support to curriculum areas, particularly Design & Technology (approx. 20% of the role), including maintaining equipment and supporting practical lessons

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
