Day Rate: £120 - £140 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Job Description:

Are you a flexible, committed, and proactive educator ready to make a difference at short notice? We are looking for enthusiastic Short-Term Supply Teachers to join a supportive and dynamic team from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple classrooms, contributing to the day-to-day learning and development of pupils in a variety of primary school settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and manage classes across the school at short notice, using plans and resources provided.
  • Mark and assess pupils’ work, giving timely feedback and recording progress.
  • Promote inclusive, independent learning and positive behaviour for all pupils.
  • Prepare, maintain and tidy learning environments, including displays and resources.
  • Provide basic First Aid and personal care, ensuring pupil welfare and safeguarding.
  • Escort classes on trips and contribute to whole-school initiatives with colleagues.

Requirements:

  • QTS with recent primary classroom experience.
  • Strong behaviour-management skills and the ability to adapt lessons across key stages.
  • Sound knowledge of SEND strategies and effective differentiation.
  • Willingness to support personal care and wellbeing programmes.
  • Full commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and school policies.
  • Reliable, flexible team-player who can think on their feet at short notice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
