Job Title: High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Milton Keynes
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full Time (8:30am – 3:30pm, Term-Time Only)
Contract Length: Fixed for Autumn Term (with potential to extend)
Day Rate: £95 – £115 per day (based on experience and qualifications)

A vibrant and supportive primary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a High-Level Teaching Assistant to join them full-time for the Autumn Term. This role is ideal for an experienced HLTA or confident practitioner ready to take the lead in the classroom when needed.

The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You’ll deliver small group interventions, lead whole-class sessions in the teacher’s absence, and work closely with staff to ensure every pupil reaches their full potential.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and supporting day-to-day classroom learning
  • Running focused group work and academic interventions
  • Assisting with planning, preparation, and feedback alongside the class teacher
  • Supporting classroom routines and contributing to a positive learning culture
  • Maintaining high expectations for pupil progress, conduct, and inclusion

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified HLTA status (or extensive relevant classroom experience)
  • Ability to step confidently into teacher-led roles when required
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic, and able to work well as part of a team
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
