Sheffield Tutors Needed

Tutors Required- Sheffield

Teaching Personnel are looking for tutors to teach children on a 1:1 basis in Sheffield and surrounding areas. We are looking for individuals who are able to engage children with learning who are in need of additional support. Some of the children are in mainstream school and need interventions in the build up to exams. Some are Looked After Children and need education put in place during their time in care.

All students need a tutor who is encouraging and understanding. You may be required to assess their initial working levels and you will monitor their progress to report back to their schools or care homes. The venues can vary between schools, care homes or local libraries depending on what works best for the student.

• We are looking for tutors across core subjects- Maths, English and Science
• You will be paid weekly and receive £25 an hour
• The work is flexible and tutors can often complete multiple assignments a week
• Some of the children will be vulnerable and all will come from different backgrounds so being a caring individual is very important

You will need:

• Relevant experience which could be tutoring, teaching or supporting students
• Relevant qualifications which could be degree, masters, qualified teacher status
• A Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to get one)
