Job description

Job Title: SEN Tutor

Location:  Bedfordshire, Bedford

Salary: £25.00 - £30.00 Per hour

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide individualised learning support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop and implement tailored teaching strategies to meet the specific needs of each student
  • Create engaging lesson plans and educational materials
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge and experience working with SEN students

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN educational needs and strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in SEN teaching techniques
  • Experience with assistive technology for SEN students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
