SEN Teaching Assistant – West Yorkshire

£90–£105 per day
Full-Time | Day-to-Day | Short-Term | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm

We are seeking passionate, reliable, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to join our network of fantastic schools across West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students with learning difficulties, autism (ASC), SEMH, PMLD, and complex needs.

  • Work within classrooms or on a 1:1 and small group basis, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.

  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and moving & handling where required.

  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.

  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to support pupil progress.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Full-time availability (Monday to Friday).

  • Experience working in a school, care, or residential setting.

  • Moving & Handling training (or willingness to complete).

  • Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).

  • Personal experience supporting children or adults with additional needs is very welcome.

  • Reliable, empathetic, and proactive individuals who take initiative and enjoy being part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
