SEN teaching assistant roles in Wokingham

Are you a youth worker looking for a new challenge?

Do you have experience working with children with challenging behaviour?

I am looking for a resilient and enthusiastic individual to support at a school in Wokingham for pupils with challenging behaviour, who have struggled to engage in a mainstream educational setting.

This is more of a pastoral than academic role, and the ability to effectively engage with pupils is essential. These pupils often come from troubled backgrounds and may have additional needs like ADHD, SEMH & Autism.

This school is proud to provide a stimulating, supportive and safe learning environment to assist each pupil to develop the skills and confidence to achieve their potential. It will require you to think fast on your feet, have a calm manner about you and be open to supporting across all subjects.

Requirements

  • Experience with youth work
  • Experience with challenging behaviour
  • DBS on the update service, or are willing to gain one
  • Drivers Licence (desirable)
