Our SEN/SEMH school supports children from KS1 up to Sixth form, providing an alternative education for students with diagnoses including ADHD, Asperger’s, SpLD, MLD, OCD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Foetal Alcohol Syndrome or a variety of other conditions. They are looking for a temporary Teaching Assistant to cover a staff maternity leave which will be due to begin very soon.
As a Teaching Assistant, you role will to be support a class or student in the classroom, breaking down their workload and helping them to understand where they need extra support. Alongside this you would be reuired to manage behaviour, provide emotional support and if necessary give personal care.
As the role is due to start ASAP, knowledge and experience of these areas prior to application would be most ideal.

You do not need any formal Teaching Assistant qualifications to apply for this role. However, if you do have a Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Supporting Teaching and Learning or anything similar we want to know!
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
