Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) – Multiple Schools Across Lancashire
Location: Lancashire (various SEN school settings)
Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Contract Type: Flexible supply work (part-time and full-time opportunities available)
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? We are currently recruiting dedicated SEN TAs to work across a range of SEN schools throughout Lancashire.

About the Role:
You will work on a flexible basis across a variety of SEN schools, supporting pupils with a wide range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will involve both one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in both classroom and one-to-one settings
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
  • Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities
  • Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Providing personal care when required (training can be provided)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in school or similar settings)
  • A compassionate, patient and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work across different schools and adapt to varying needs
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
