£9 - £12 per hour + CPD, Team Teach

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for teaching assistants to work in various local schools and nurseries. We specialise in providing support staff to both mainstream and SEN schools across East and West Sussex, including Lancing, Worthing, Littlehampton, Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath and Crawley. Previous experience working with children or young adults is essential; this may include education based roles, support work, youth work or residential care.

You must be available to work during term time 08:00-15:30 (some schools have an extended day and require you to stay until 16:30). If you don't have a 'child workforce' DBS certificate registered to the Update Service, you can apply for one through Teaching Personnel at a cost of £44 (DBS) + £13 annual subscription (DBS Update Service). It is recommended that anyone who comes into contact with children through their work in an education setting completes safeguarding training regularly. Child Protection in Education Level 2 is available to book online for £15 (EduCare).
