SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a outstanding school in the centre of the picturesque village of Silverdale, near Morecambe, the school is both a day school on one side of the road, the residential building on the other. 

Just 10 minutes drive from Junction 35 of the M6 motorway with good public transport links.

The School caters for pupils 2 to 19 years with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), some with associated complex needs, ASC(Autism) and challenging behaviours. Many of the pupils will require personal care and assistance with feeding, therefore, candidates applying for this role must be happy to provide this.

Although we are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant for the education site, we would also be interested in hearing from candidates who are interested in working in the residential site. 

The candidate applying for this role must be available full time and be willing to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils, some of whom can display challenging behaviours. 

The pay for this role will be between GBP65 - 75 per day and the role is likely to be long term.
