SEN Teaching Assistant

A School in North Manchester M9 are looking to take on a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil who has difficult behavioural needs. The pupil in question is in year 5 and is said to be difficult and sometimes lashes out, but is an intelligent pupil who enjoys sport and Maths. As things stand this current pupil is on a reduced timetable but with the right Teaching Assistant this is looking to be increased to full time as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will ideally have worked with behaviour before and have a passion for a challenging environment which if managed correctly could be extremely rewarding. This role start immediately and be for 5 days per week full time and needs the candidate to be committed to the role as continuity with this child is vital. This school is a small school and has been recently graded Good by OFSTED- it serves the wider community and has family feel about it. All staff in the school are well supported by senior leaders and the Head Teacher had an open door policy for both Teachers and Support staff. The Head has said that the ideal candidate would be someone with a Psychology degree or any other graduate as well as someone who has experience in Sport or Youth Work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
