Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Hyde

Salary: GBP10 per hour

Start Date: September 2020

Working Hours: Part time – 3 days a week 8:30 – 3:30

A lovely primary school in the Hyde area are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their ever-growing staff team. The outstanding primary school are part of the Enquire Learning Trust and work closely with other schools and academies within the Trust to continually develop heir practice.

The school are looking for an individual who has experience working with SEN pupils and using policies such as Blacksheep Narrative Therapy, Nessy and Fisher Family Trust. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with small intervention groups and on a 1:1 basis providing help and support to children who have additional needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

• Encourage and aid development of pupils while consistently reporting feedback to leading members of staff.

• Motivate and engage the pupils.

• Ensure that tasks are carried out professionally, but also in a fun and rewarding manner.

• Work alongside key school staff to ensure children are getting the support they need.

Requirements for the role:

•Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

• DBS on the update service or be willing to get one.

• Experience working with children in a Primary School Setting

• Experience working with children with additional needs.
