SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for a SEN Teaching assistants to work part time with a year 3 class within a primary school in Oakham supporting a child with Autism on a 1:1 basis. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with children with SEN specifially Autism, but other SEN experience including ADHD and learning delays would also be considered. Experience with Team Teach tactics would be desired but not essential.

This role will be on a temporary contract basis until the May half term. If you have any other experience that can include team teach, MAPA or Makaton trained that would also be beneficial but it is not essential for this role.

The ideal candidate would require patience and have a calm approach when supporting children with SEN. As this role can present challenges, the candidate would also need to use their intiative at times and think of creative ways to help support the children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
