SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking Teaching Assistants to work in an "Outstanding" rated SEN school assisting children who present with ASC and challenging behaviour in the NG11 area of Nottingham.

The school consists of just over 100 pupils between the age of 5-19.

The school have implemented specific learning outcomes for children of all ages. For example, for primary and key stage 3 pupils a rolling plan is in place which supports a balance of stimulating contexts for learning through different learning experiences, themes and subjects.

At a key stage 4 and post 16, pupils follow a personal learning pathway to support and enable the individual to make a successful transition from adolescence to adulthood. Pupils are given opportunities to gain appropriate and relevant accreditation that recognise their skills and aspirations for the future.

The school seek individuals who can fit into the school's mentality and want to implement continuous development.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:-

• Minimum 1 year experience working with children and young people either in education or health care settings.
• Confidence to work on your own initiative, as well as contributing to a team
• Good understanding of the National Curriculum at a primary and/or secondary level
• Be able to participate in any extra-curricular activities required
