SEN Teaching Assistants required in Sturminster Newton, North Dorset!

A special needs school in North Dorset are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their team.

This 'Excellent' Ofsted rated school caters for 131 children between the ages of 2 and 19 with profound and multiple (PMLD), Severe (SLD) or complex learning difficulties. Some children have additional sensory or physical impairments, speech and language disorders or medical needs, others are on the autistic spectrum.

Successful applicants will be working with pupils with a variety of complex needs so you should have experience in a similar role. You should also:

• Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant in a special needs school
• Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing
• Have the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and other professionals

Full time and part time applicants will be considered, along with those looking to work on a supply basis.

The school is not easily accessed by public transport so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
