Teaching Personnel are urgently recruiting for a Graduate Supply Teacher to work across Secondary schools in Newport.

This is a part time position, however we are also looking for a full time Graduate Supply Teacher for one of the Newport schools so please apply if this would also be an interest to you.

The role will involve general class cover as well as supporting the well-being team by contacting parents of students due to take exams and assessments.

  • £85 - £100 a day (dependant on experience)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Secondary school in Newport.

This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone considering a career in teaching! You will have the opportunity to lead a class but with no planning and marking responsibilities.

As a Graduate Supply Teacher you will be providing support and guidance to KS3 and KS4 students in the absence of their teacher. Your role will be to ensure the students are on track as they work through pre-prepared material with little to no planning involved (plans are already set).

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background - a degree in any subject!
  • DBS Check and EWC Registration (Teaching Personnel will help you apply for these if needed)
  • Be passionate and committed to working with children in education

We welcome all levels of experience and will consider qualified and unqualified teaching assistants, sports coaches, graduates and HLTAs with a background in working within a school environment.

We run an internal Cover Supervisor training course so can offer you CPD and training for this role!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
