SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching personnel are recruiting for a number of SEN specialist Teaching Assistants in the Bury St Edmunds area. We work with a number of primary schools in the area and need staff to help support these schools on short/long term basis and for day to day supply. You would be working with pupils in KS1-KS2 on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should:

• Have experience working with SEN students

• Have training or experience in Makaton, PECS, or be Team Teach trained

• Be flexible and patient, as the Special Needs will vary

• Be able to communicate effectively within a team

• Be committed to work full-time
• Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through teaching personnel 
• Safeguarding training (desired but not essential)
• Highly motivated and passionate about primary education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
