Job description

A School in the Preston area are seeking a Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible! 

The School is smaller than average and caters specifically for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties and Challenging Behaviours. 

The School are hoping to appoint a hard working, resilient, enthusiastic and empathetic Teaching Assistant to work with their KS3 / 4 pupils who display difficult behaviours. Candidates who hold their Team Teach qualification will be favoured, but this is not essential. The School is based on the outskirts of Preston and candidates must have experience supporting pupils with additional needs and SEMH Difficulties. 

The candidate must be willing to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who have additional needs and require additional support in a number of subjects including; English, Maths, Science and Functional Skills. 

The role will be full time, starting as soon as possible and candidates must be confident in their behaviour management skills. 

The sucessful candidate will benefit from: 

- Negotiable pay rates GBP57 - 67 per day 

- Long term position available 

- Rewarding position supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later
