SEN Teaching Assistant - Hillingdon - Full time - Easter 2020 start!

Teaching Personnel work closely with the West London borough of Hillingdon, providing them with teaching and support staff. 

Teaching Assistant Role:

• Provide 1:1, 2:1 or group support for children who need additional help
• Work under the guidance of the classroom teacher to support children and control behaviour in the classroom
• Social and emotional support
• Encourage positive behaviour in and around the school

The School:

• Aim to deliver a high quality educational experiences to all pupils
• Supports students with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs
• Students aged between 4-6, each with their own EHCP
• With an additional SEN unit they have an advanced support system in place to help all students develop. This includes running a number of internal training courses to help advance members of staff knowledge

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
• Have a passion for wanting to make a positive difference in children’s lives
• An energetic person and patient person, confident working with challenging behaviour
• Can support small groups of children and on 1:1 basis
• Candidates with a ‘can do’ attitude willing to take on a challenge
