SEN Teaching Assistant

One of our clients schools urgently require a Teaching Assistant to provide 121 support for a pupils with SEN, to start as soon as possible!

The Role:

The role is to provide 121 support for 2 pupils with SEN. One pupil in Key Stage 1 and 1 in Key Stage 2.

5 days per week between 8.30 and 3.15. The successful candidate will need to establish and maintain a relationships with these pupils during activities and learning tasks, feeding back to the teacher on progress made.

You will manage behaviour and promote independent learning both inside and outside the classroom, encouraging them to take responsibility for their own learning and promoting development of self-esteem.

Other tasks may include assisting the class teacher in setting up the classroom for the day, preparing resources and materials.

The school:

This small, friendly, school has a supportive team. All members of staff work hard to support children's next steps, progression and attainment. Behaviour is good across the school and children enjoy their learning. The school was recently graded 'Good' by Ofsted, and is easily accessible from Sleaford and Boston.

We're looking for someone who...

Suitable candidates will be available to commit to full time work. You will hold a Teaching Assistant / SEN qualification (level 2 or above) and / or have significant experience in working with children with SEN on a 121 basis. Experience with Autism would be beneficial. A resilient and positive attitude is essential!
