Teaching Personnel - Quality, Leading, Experts

Our passion is education, we provide champion quality to our schools and are always improving.

We are currently working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), which caters for primary and secondary aged pupils in Southampton. We are looking for a pro-active and personable individual to support across KS2 and KS3 classes who cater for pupils with challenging behaviour needs. The school’s focus is providing a nurturing environment that enables the pupils to engage successfully in all aspects of learning.

Role of an Behaviour Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting the class Teacher (6-8 pupils per class)
  • Supporting with outdoor day trips and activity days
  • Embrace all aspects of the school’s visions and core values
  • Working with pupils with challenging behaviours and SEMH
  • Full-time 8:30am to 3:30pm
  • 1:1 and small group work ensuring pupils stay on track with the curriculum

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient! - this role can be challenging, but it is very rewarding!
  • Experience working within a behaviour/SEMH school (not essential)
  • A strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
