Do you want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs? 

Teaching Personnel in partnership with a number of SEN schools within the Derby City and Derbyshire area, we are currently wanting to speak with anyone seeking roles within SEN / Education. We are working hard to recruit passionate, person centred individuals that will be looking for new and exciting roles to support the schools in their reopening. 

We are expecting a huge demand for staff in the coming weeks, so if you are seeking a role that is more flexible in nature please do get in touch. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working with students across a variety of age ranges with a multitude of Special Needs including:

  • Autism
  •  Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties / Severe Learning  Difficulties
  • Challenging behaviours
  • Learning Difficulties

The Successful SEN teaching assistant will have:

  • Experience with Special Needs / challenging behaviour - either in a personal or professional capacity
  • Experience with children whether that be in an educational, care, youth work setting
  • A Child Workforce ONLY DBS that is registered on the Update Service or be happy to purchase one

Other desired qualities are:

  • Health and Social Care qualification
  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Moving and Handling

Teaching Personnel can offer SEN Teaching Assistants: 

  • Competitive pay rates of GBP325-370 per week, however long term rates can be negotiated on your behalf
  • Access to unique CPD opportunities to increase your qualifications and knowledge of the field such as: Autism Awareness, Safeguarding, Behaviour That Challenge, Team Teach & Manual Handling plus many more.
  •  An experienced Consultant along with our dedicated on call service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
