Job description

GCSE Tutor – DE11 (Swadlincote)

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated GCSE Tutor to support students in the DE11 (Swadlincote) area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by helping learners build confidence, strengthen understanding, and achieve success in their GCSE exams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 or small group GCSE tuition in your subject area
  • Plan structured sessions aligned with the GCSE curriculum
  • Identify learning gaps and provide targeted support
  • Assist with revision, exam techniques, and preparation
  • Track progress and support student achievement
  • Adapt teaching to suit individual learning needs
  • Motivate and encourage students to reach their potential

Requirements:

  • Experience tutoring or teaching at GCSE level
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK

  • Part-time / flexible hours (Monday–Friday)
  • Location: DE11, Swadlincote

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
