Job description

English Tutor – NE8 (Newcastle)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Tutor to support learners in the NE8 (Newcastle) area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about English to help students improve their literacy skills, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one or small group English tuition (KS2–GCSE level)
  • Plan and adapt engaging lessons to suit individual learner needs
  • Support students with reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and comprehension
  • Build confidence and encourage a positive attitude towards learning
  • Track progress and provide regular feedback

Requirements:

  • Strong subject knowledge in English
  • Experience tutoring or teaching preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK

  • Part-time / flexible hours (Monday–Friday)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
