Job description

Are you motivated to make a positive impact on young people with additional needs?

We are looking for enthusiastic and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of specialist schools in the Yeovil area.

These roles support children and young people aged 3 to 19 with SEMH and complex learning needs, in both primary and secondary phases.

This is a full-time position beginning in September 2025, with opportunities for an earlier start on a part-time or full-time basis.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN/SEMH on a 1:1 or small group basis

  • Assisting in delivering structured, accessible lessons

  • Encouraging emotional regulation, engagement, and social development

  • Working with teaching staff, therapists and support professionals

 

Key Details:

  • Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4pm | Term-Time Only

  • Suitable for both primary and secondary roles

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting SEN learners

  • Experience in SEN, SEMH or care roles is beneficial but not essential

  • Adaptable and calm under pressure, with a team-focused mindset

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
