Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to get into a supportive and friendly, SEN School?

We are looking for a full time temporary to permanent teaching assistant who loves working with children. You will be supporting SEN Pupils who are aged from Primary right through to College age, your working hours will be 8.30am-3.45pm Monday to Friday. This is a full time opportunity, beginning on a temporary basis with the opportunity to go onto a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Pupils have a range of needs including:

  • Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Autism
  • Aspergers
  • Communication difficulties

You will need to be:

  • Fun and creative, happy to get involved in messy play and creative subjects
  • An excellent communicator
  • Someone who can think outside of the box
  • Have a resilient personality
  • Have experience working with children previously

Responsibilities of the role involve:

  • Supporting pupils who have a range of special educational needs
  • Supporting pupils on a 1-1 basis where necessary
  • Working alongside other staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils

You will ideally have experience within an SEN teaching assistant position previously. Most importantly you will have a willingness to learn and be creative.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
