SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive and nurturing educational setting in Wareham.
This is a full-time position with an immediate start, working with young people aged 11 to 18.
Secondary-aged opportunities are available, making this an excellent role for those passionate about making a real difference.
Core hours are typically 10am to 3pm, with some weekday end times varying depending on pupil needs and activities.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils in and out of the classroom

Encourage engagement, confidence and independence

Work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored support

Promote a calm, safe and positive learning environment
Requirements

Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, particularly supporting children or young people with SEN
-
A patient, resilient and empathetic approach

Ability to commit to full-time work

Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete safeguarding checks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
