Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Immediate Start)
Role Overview
We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support SEN students aged 11 to 18 within a supportive and forward-thinking educational setting in Wareham.
This is a full-time position with an immediate start, ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people as they progress through their education.
Working hours: 10am to 3pm
Hourly rate: £13.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support

Assist with learning activities and engagement

Support positive behaviour and daily routines

Build strong, respectful relationships with students and staff

Encourage confidence, motivation and progress
Essential Requirements

Minimum of 6 months childcare experience, particularly supporting children or young people with SEN needs

A patient, empathetic and resilient approach

Ability to commit to a full-time role

Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
