Job description

Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant in Southampton – Full-Time Role Available Immediately

Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a welcoming and inclusive school that is seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team as soon as possible.

This school features a well-established Pathway Unit, supporting pupils with a range of complex learning needs. They are looking for a committed and confident SEN practitioner who can hit the ground running and provide consistent support for the remainder of the summer term and into September.

The role:

  • Full-time position available to start immediately

  • Working within the school’s Pathway Unit, supporting pupils with additional and complex needs

  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support across a range of abilities

  • Collaborating with teaching staff, therapists, and SENCO to implement individual support plans

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working within an SEN setting or supporting pupils with additional needs

  • A patient, proactive, and resilient approach to learning support

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
