An SEN school based in Sholing are seeking a Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible, on a full time basis.

This SEN school caters for children 4 - 11 years of age.  All children who join the school have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and have a level of learning difficulties, and many have associated disabilities and conditions with varying needs of complexity such as:

  • Autism.
  • Speech and language disorder, impairment, or delay.
  • Physical disabilities.
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
  • Hearing impairment.
  • Visual impairment.
  • Behavioural difficulties.      

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working with students in classes between 5-8 students, accompanied by a Teacher and other Support Assistants.

The candidate will ideally have:

-          Some experience working with children and young people, it is desirable if you have experience working with children with SEN

-          Experience working in a school would be advantageous

-          The school would also consider candidates from youth work backgrounds, or similar roles

  • Full time/part time - Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £75 per day
  • Hours - 8:45 – 15:15
