Teaching Assistant – SEMH All-Girls Secondary School
Location: Southampton
Pay: £13.75 per hour (Paid weekly via PAYE)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Full-time or part-time | Term Time Only
Contract Type: Long-term, with potential to become permanent

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a highly regarded all-girls SEMH secondary school in Southampton, rated Outstanding by Ofsted and recognised nationally as a Centre of Excellence.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team within a specialist setting that supports girls aged 11–16 with a range of needs, including:

The Role:
We are looking to appoint an experienced or aspiring Teaching Assistant to support students across the curriculum. You’ll play a vital role in removing barriers to learning, helping pupils to regulate emotions, engage in education, and develop confidence and independence.
This role will involve working one-to-one and in small groups, supporting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with young people with SEMH, SEND, or in a care/support setting (preferred but not essential)

Calm, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships

Flexible and proactive with a team-first attitude

Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
