About the Role

This position is ideal for individuals who are confident working within specialist educational settings and can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff. As this is ad hoc cover work, we are looking for people who can hit the ground running and confidently step into a variety of classroom environments.

  • Working alongside teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support.
  • Promoting engagement and participation within lessons.
  • Encouraging independence and confidence.

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group assistance when required.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous SEN, SEMH or specialist education experience.
  • A proactive and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different settings at short notice.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Why Choose Teaching Personnel?

Teaching Personnel offers access to a wide variety of SEN and SEMH provisions, allowing you to gain valuable experience across multiple settings rather than being restricted to one site. We work closely with schools requiring reliable supply staff and can offer flexibility around your availability.

  • Competitive pay of £14.25 per hour.
  • Flexible part-time working patterns.
  • Access to diverse SEN and SEMH opportunities.
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.
  • Free and discounted CPD opportunities.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Potential for longer-term placements where available.
