An SEN Teaching Assistant is required at a Primary School in Seaford to work 1:1 with an infant pupil with SEMH and challenging behaviour. This post will be an immediate start, therefore all applicants MUST have an enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
The school is positioned in a residential area with free roadside parking, as well as being accessible via public transport. The successful candidate will be working 2:1 alongside another experienced teaching assistant who has been working with the pupil for the last academic year. Experience working with children with similar needs in a classroom environment is preferred, however other relevant experience is strongly considered.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A genuine passion for working with children with SEMH/SEN
- A calm and patient manner with the ability to empathise/sympathise with the pupil and understand their needs
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A professional attitude at all times
The above role is from 4th September to 23rd October at which point the possibility of continuing will be reviewed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
