SEN Teaching Assistant

A leading and award-winning Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their growing team in Reading. Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans
- Promoting a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Encouraging the social and emotional development of pupils
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school or care settings)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
- Right to work in the UK (this school group is unable to offer visa sponsorship)
Desirable but not essential:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent)
- Team Teach or other de-escalation training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
