Job Opportunity: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Poole

 Location: Poole

 Hours: Full-Time (Term Time Only)

 Start Date: November 2025

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a fantastic school in Poole, who are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and making a real difference in their educational journey.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supporting students with a range of needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and SEMH. You will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering targeted support to students with SEN

  • Working alongside the class teacher to adapt and deliver lessons

  • Supporting the implementation of EHCPs and IEPs

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Helping students build confidence and achieve their potential

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (preferably in a school setting)

  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A flexible and proactive mindset

  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
